This was our first full day to explore Lisbon. After a HUGE sleep we all felt pretty refreshed and ready to take it on!
We started it out with a a Pastel breakfast – I chose the standard “de nata” which is egg custard, while Mel had a more Omelette version, Bonnie with an egg (like fries egg in a tart) version and Tony with a Lemon one. Good way to start the day!

From there it was a wander along the waterfront to “Pink Street”, where the street is actually painted pink, “celebrating” its past as the center for prostitution in the city.
For lunch Tony had one request. He had seen the Lisbon episode of “Somebody feed Phil” – and there was a seafood restaurant the Phil ate at – and Tony wanted to go there. So we made a reservation to go months ago – and today was the day!

What a great meal. Amazing spot and scenery. Now, I usually would never order fish from a restaurant- I dunno why, it is just not a go to for me – but this time I figured when in Portugal…. So I got a recommendation of Golden Sea Bream – and I can say it was the best grilled fish I have ever had. I WILL be trying to replicate it at home!

We took the ferry back to Lisbon, and chilled for the next adventure of the day – a cruise.
Mel found this one from a travel influencer, rather than one of the big “Party Boats” – we booked a 4 person cruise in a sailboat – and it was a beaut. I’ll let the pics do the talking.

At this point it was getting late (by our measure) so we went for a bite to eat, capping of a truly GREAT day with friends.
The actual tour kicks off tomorrow with the meet and greet – but we shall see what kind of trouble we can find before we get that started.
A final few pics just in case you are not tired enough of them already!
